Every year, on March 8th, the world celebrates International Women’s Day. This occasion is a time to celebrate what it means to be a woman, a time to mark the achievements of women throughout history, and a time to remind ourselves that the fight for equality is far from over. There are numerous ways to celebrate this occasion, but I for one would like to dedicate this day to all of the extraordinary women who have entered my life over the years. From the teachers who inspired me, to the colleagues who have mentored me, to the family members who have raised me, I have been blessed with an overwhelming number of incredible role models in my life. Today, I say thank you for your guidance, your lessons, and your support, but more importantly, thank you for showing me that being a women is truly something to be celebrated.
