The Women of Sundance

I am extremely proud of my cousin Jacki Zehner, who is a dedicated women’s rights activist, philanthropist, and all around one of the most awesome people I know. She recently began her term as a Board Member of the Sundance Institute, and not coincidently, the 2013 Sundance Film Festival has been hailed for the fact that for the first time in the festival’s history, the films in the US Dramatic Competition are equally directed by men and women. With the festival opening tomorrow, Jacki and I co-wrote an article detailing the historic presence of women at this year’s festival, and what it means for filmmaking equality going forward. To read the article, click here, and stay tuned for my updates and adventures at Sundance 2013.
